It brings a small smile to Stukov's face and his glow turns distinctly warm and orange. The man's head pulls to the left like it always does when he's complimented, almost instinctively trying to cover that glow...but he corrects it almost immediately. Reinhardt has often told him that glow reminds him of starlight...and who is he to keep his beloved knight from that?
Alexei does not stop Reinhardt from reaching around him. His heart is swelling up and his throat is tight. The grip on Renhardt's hand intensifies when the Crusader says he will not forgive him...but it slacks in a moment with that explanation.
Stukov feels as though his heart might burst like the dying, shedding skin on his body. He leans in, forehead pressing against Reinhardt's, eyes squeezed shut but a smile on his face as he feels safe and secure with a strange kind of finality. The fear that had consumed him earlier vanished. This was it. This was as bad as it got. He made pathogens, laid eggs and leaked slime...and still his knight was here beside him. He always would be.
He can't hold his tears in.
Large, hot tears press out the corners of his eyes and trail down his face as he practically launches himself at Reinhardt. He can hear a faint pop and can feel it to as he puts a bit too much pressure on several points and the familiar, blister burst like sting can be felt across his chest and in his sleeve, but that doesn't matter. The slime spots growing on his jacket don't matter. It is a damn mess and they are both going to need a shower after this, but that is fine. Everything is fine. It is going to be that way from now on. Whatever happened, they would face it together and Alexei knew it...knew it with certainty.
He pulled Reinhardt against him, nails digging into the Crusader's shirt, and buried his face in his beloved's neck. He let out a strange mix between a silent sob and a sigh, but there's a smile pressed against Reinhardt's neck the other man would surely feel.
"How...is it that you always say what I need to hear, Moy Rytsar?"
